Responsible Gaming
Poker is a game of skill with a large element of variance. Played within limits it is entertainment. Played beyond them it can damage finances, relationships and health. This page explains how we approach the topic and where to get help.
Age limit
All content on pokerbros.app is intended for adults aged 18 or older, or the legal age in your jurisdiction if it is higher (for example 21 in most of the United States). If you are under that age, please leave the Site. PokerBros itself requires users to be of legal age in their country.
Play money, club chips and real value
PokerBros is a social gaming platform. The application does not process real-money transactions. Club chips, however, are often exchanged for real value outside the app through club admins and agents. Treat any such exchange as real money: it can be lost, it may not be recoverable if a club closes, and it may be restricted or prohibited where you live.
Rules that keep the game a game
- Set a bankroll and keep it separate. Never play with money needed for rent, food, debts or family.
- Decide session limits in advance. Time and money. Stop when you hit either, win or lose.
- Never chase losses. A losing session is not a reason to reload.
- Do not play when tired, drunk or emotional. Tilt is the most expensive leak in poker.
- Take breaks. Long sessions without rest hurt decisions and, on PokerBros, can even trigger automated security flags.
- Keep only what you are using on your club balance. Cash out regularly.
Warning signs
Consider taking a break or seeking help if you notice any of the following:
- You play longer or for higher stakes than you planned.
- You borrow money or sell things to keep playing.
- You hide your poker activity from family or friends.
- You feel restless or irritable when you cannot play.
- You play to escape problems or a low mood.
- You have tried to stop and could not.
Tools inside the application and clubs
Most clubs and unions will freeze your account on request. Ask the club admin or your agent for a cooling-off period or a permanent self-exclusion. On your device you can also use screen-time limits to block the app during set hours.
